Personal Mode
Personal Mode — a calm daily task system
Start in Personal Mode for focused daily planning. Capture tasks, organize lists, write notes, see due dates on a calendar and move work across a kanban board when you need visual flow.
Built for: Individuals, students, freelancers and anyone who wants a simple personal system
- Today, Upcoming and Inbox smart lists
- Personal kanban board with drag-and-drop
- Rich notes and calendar planning
- Recurring tasks and reminders
Begin every day in one place
Personal Mode is the default home for TaskSimply. It keeps capture fast, planning clear and completion satisfying — without forcing project bureaucracy onto personal life.
List view and board view together
Use smart lists when you need speed. Switch to Kanban when a personal project needs backlog, doing and review columns.
- •Drag cards across five columns
- •Assign priorities and due dates on each card
- •Keep Inbox clear and Today intentional
Capture fast, decide later
Type a task the way you'd say it. Quick-add understands phrases like today, tomorrow, next week, a weekday or "in 3 days" at the end of a title and sets the due date for you. Anything without a home lands in Inbox until you're ready to sort it.
- •⌘K searches every task, note and list
- •Keyboard shortcuts for every view — press ? to see them
- •Priorities, subtasks and due times when a task needs them
Notes that live beside your tasks
A rich editor with headings, checklists, callouts, quotes and code blocks — press / for any block. Organise notes in notebooks, tag and pin them, and search every word. Start from templates for meetings, journaling, projects and reading notes.
A weekly rhythm that keeps the list honest
The guided Weekly Review shows what you finished, lets you reschedule or release what slipped, files what never got sorted, looks at the week ahead, and asks you to name one outcome. Recurring tasks create their next occurrence when you complete them, so routines never need re-entering.
